De Lisbeth Gruwez

Égérie de l'inclassable Jan Fabre, électron libre de la scène flamande, Lisbeth Gruwez va mettre tous les spectateurs K.-O. avec sa nouvelle création : Birth of Prey. Pour cette « naissance de la proie », elle s'offre entière dans un solo qui convoque l'humain et l'animal, se retrouvant tantôt dans la peau du prédateur, tantôt proie d'elle-même. Instinct, corps et amour se déploient, en travers d'une cage sonore érigée par le batteur Dave Schroyen et le guitariste Maarten Van Cauwenberghe. Avec cette observation aiguisée des rituels et du langage corporel, Lisbeth Gruwez vient nous hanter et nous sert une performance scénique complètement hypnotique.

Lisbeth Gruwez a marqué les esprits avec Je suis sang et le solo Quando l'uomo principale è una donna de Jan Fabre ainsi que l'inoubliable Foi de Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui (compagnie les ballets C de la B). En 2006, elle crée la compagnie Voetvolk avec son complice Maarten Van Cauwenberghe. De cette collaboration naîtra en 2007 une première pièce, Forever Overhead, sur le thème de la chute.
